A podiatrist is a health professional who deals with the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of medical and surgical conditions of the feet and lower limbs.
To become a podiatrist, a practitioner must complete a Bachelor’s Degree and be registered with the state podiatry registration boards.
Referrals from your GP are only required for Medicare Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plans, Department of Veterans’ Affairs, workers compensation and motor vehicle accident claims.
Patients with ancillary cover will find our podiatry services attract rebates from private health funds. For selected health funds, we also offer instant health fund rebates using the Health Industry Claims and Payment Service (HICAPS).
